It all began back in 2017 on their journey to their first summer training as FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) missionaries. Complete strangers at the time and embarking on a 3 day trip from Nebraska to Florida, the seed of Andrew and Dylan’s brotherhood was planted. Through hours together in the car, prayer, and getting on each-other's nerves every so often, a friendship was forged that will live on in eternity!

 

Over the years Andrew and Dylan have a shared passion surrounding entrepreneurship, faith, holistic health, simplicity, and sustainability. They both have their own unique and at times intense health histories that have warranted the need to limit exposure to unnecessary stressors on the body. Dylan’s journey stemming back to a severe bout with Lyme disease that turned chronic back in 2014 and Andrew’s journey rooted in his mothers battle with MS coupled with his own journey with early onset MS. Fast forward to November 2022 at Dylan’s bachelor party. Andrew and Dylan had been talking about the impact that cooking with certain vegetable oils has on inflammation in the body. It was a Friday, Dylan had a freezer full of fish filets, and Andrew had access to grass fed beef suet; naturally they had made an adventure out of it and decided to render the beef suet into tallow and fry the fish in. Although they did just about everything wrong when it comes to tallow rendering at that bachelor party, the seed for Bōs Sanctus was planted!

 

The more we discussed it, the more it became evident that there is a need for a natural, scientifically backed, and Catholic based cosmetic company. A company that can provide top quality, non-toxic, and sustainable products to people who want to live a healthier lifestyle. After more than a year of researching, experimenting, and letting people test the products we are working on, we are excited to launch Bōs Sanctus and see where God leads us!
